Went ballooning from San Casciano to somewhere south where the wind took us. Super friendly pilot who answered all our questions. Actually even before we got there, super responsive on WhatsApp. They really helped with our nerves, last thing we wanted was to get lost at 6 AM. Yeah, downside is that it requires one to get up early. But they guided us to the take off spot without any issue, we had our own car for touring, but I believe they can also pick you up in town. (Useful to have our own car rental as after the trip we stayed in the Chianti and enjoyed the rest of the day, with wine tours near Panzano). The experience itself is out of this world. Once at the field with our pilot, Fede, we felt at ease right away. I think he is the main pilot, it seemed a small tightly run outfit with another ballon that took off with us. Extra bit for us is we took the kids and they loved it, very peaceful, we got to see the geography with them as well as wild animals and skirt the top of trees, which our pilot did intentionally to add excitement for the kids. Landing went smoother than I thought possible and we even got breakfast on the field we landed on. All in all I highly recommend it and worth the money. Only downside is that it’s weather dependent and we had to wait a couple of days that were a no go due to clouds, luckily we had a whole week in Chianti to work with and it’s not like our schedule was pre booked at 6 AM.VerifiedRichard M01/12/2021Amazing flight I loved every second of it, really amazing experience.
